The University second baseball team will open its home season this afternoon at 4 o'clock in a game with the St. John's Preparatory School nine.

The visitors bring a veteran team with an exceptionally strong pitching staff. In the opening game of the season, St. John's defeated the Danvers High School team 5-1 and followed with a victory Saturday over the Mechanics Arts High School nine, 13-3. In the former game Edward Walsh, who will start in the box today against the Crimson nine, allowed only two hits.

Coach Raymond will start Brown on the mound but expects to use Young in the later innings. The second team line up remains unchanged from the game with Andover.
