The final Crimson business competition of the year, open only to Freshmen, will begin at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening, May 10, with a meeting of all candidates in the Business Office of the Crimson Building 14 Plympton street.
The competition will last approximately two weeks this spring and will continue for about ten weeks in the fall. The immediate work will not be exacting, giving the candidates sufficient time to prepare for their final examinations.
Election to the Board will be based on the candidate's ability to solicit advertising, secure new accounts, and carry out the clerical and stenographic work assigned to him. The successful candidates will become eligible for the positions of Assistant Business Manager in their Junior year and Business Manager in their Senior year.
The training that a candidate will receive in the competition and, if successful, as a business editor, will be invaluable to him in later life in any business career. The work not only develops executive ability, but acquaints the candidate with modern business methods and brings him in contact with leading business men and firms of Boston and New York.
At Wednesday's meeting the work will be outlined in detail by the Business Manager. Any Freshmen who are interested, whether expecting to enter this competition or not, may attend this meeting.
