EDWARD HALL NICHOLS, 1864-1922

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the death of Dr. Nichols, Harvard loses one who has served the University for thirty years or more in various fields of endeavor. As an undergraduate, both a scholar and an athlete of unusual ability; as a medical student, ever keen and useful; as doctor, a friend of all whom he helped; as coach an inspiration to his charges, Seldom does one man's scope of usefulness cover such an extensive field. His war service with the First Harvard Unit was a credit to the University as well as to himself. As a member of various committees on athletics and as doctor in charge of the football team his services to the College were inestimable. To his relatives and friends, the CRIMSON in behalf of the undergraduates of today and yesterday, extends its deepest sympathy.
