Yale Defeats Trinity in Basketball

NEW HAVEN, CONN., Jan 12.--Yale defeated Trinity here this evening by a score of 45-16 in the opening basketball game of the season. J. H. Haas and Spitt starred for Yale and Captain Canner for Trinity. The New Haven quintet showed a fast well-rounded team that passed well and shot with accuracy.
