Three competition's for the CRIMSON in the news, business, and photographic departments, open only to Sophomores, will begin at a meeting on Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock in the CRIMSON building on Plympton Street. This is the last opportunity for men in the class of 1926 to compete for a staff position in one of these departments. At this meeting the routine work of the news, business, and photographic departments, including the details of the competition work, will be explained by the department editors.

The remainder of the 1923-24 schedule of CRIMSON competitions is closed to 1926 men. On February 19, three competitions, open only to Freshmen, will begin in the news, business, and photographic departments. These competitions will end approximately May 13. Also, beginning on February 19 will be an editorial competition of 11 weeks length, which is open only to Juniors.

Before the close of the year there will be another news and a second business competition, both of which will be open only to Freshmen. On March 16 an eight weeks news competition will begin, with May 30 as its closing date. The second Freshman business competition will begin on May 1 and will carry over until the following fall, ending October 28.

The three competitions, which begin Wednesday evening, are, therefore, the last opportunities for members of the class of 1926 to make a place on the business, news, or photographic staffs of the paper.
