A prize essay contest will be conducted throughout the country this winter by the League of Nations Non-Partisan Association, according to an announcement made by Corliss Lamont '24, chairman of that organization's University and College Students Committee.
The best essay on the subject "Why the United States should join the League of Nations" will win an award of 100 dollars. Second and third prizes of 75 and 50 dollars, respectively, are also offered. The contest, which is open to every undergraduate in any university or college in the United States, will close at noon on March 1, 1924. All manuscripts must be received before that time at the office of the League of Nations Non-Partisan Association, 15 West 37th Street, New York City. 3,000 words is the limit of length.
