At its meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences voted to extend the Christmas vacation for students in the College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the recess starting on December 21 and continuing through January 4. This move does away with classes scheduled for December 22 and 'January 3, and adds four whole days to the vacation.
The vote of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences comes as the result of a resolution by the Corporation to permit the various faculties to decide the matter as they wished. None of the other faculties has as yet taken action. No announcement has been made about travelling time for men living at a distance from Cambridge.
