AUTHORITIES OUT TO STOP DRUNKEN ORGIES AT YALE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

New Haven, Conn., Dec. 14, 1924.--Drunken orgies must stop in Yale fraternities during elections in the future, according to a joint decree from the college office and the New Haven police at this conclusion of last week's initiations.

Three Sheffield students were jailed for inviting policemen into the club houses during the brawls and for turning in false fire alarms. These men were members of the Colony and Cloister Clubs.

The faculty has conferred with the different societies and each has promised to banish liquor from future initiations and to cooperate with the college and police in stopping the drinking on such occasions.

Action will be taken today against the Colony and Cloister Clubs and also against the individual ringleaders in the affair.
