SOPHOMORES DOWN FRESHMAN DEBATERS FOR CLASS HONORS

First Year Men Have Won for Last Two Years

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Debating Council will hold trials for the teams which will meet Yale and Princeton on March 21 in the annual triangular debate series at 6 o'clock tonight in Harvard 1. All undergraduates in the University, including Freshmen, are eligible to compete.

For the first time in three years the Freshman team last night failed to win the interclass debating championship. A quartet of Sophomore speakers downed the 1927 men by a two to one vote of the judges. On the victorious team were W. C. McFerron, C. C. Graig, A. G. King, and T. E. Finley, while C. H. Johnston, L. S. King, D. L. Dickson, and W. D. Morton argued for the class of 1927.
