CALDWELL MAY PITCH TIGERS TO VICTORY AT SOLDIERS FIELD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Overshadowed by the brilliance of Caldwell, Townsend has seen little action, but he has to his credit victories over Columbia and Georgia, two conquerors of the Crimson, and a 7 to 0 shut-out over Amherst. His other start in the box was against Villa Nova in the season's opening game. On that occasion he was knocked out of the box in the third inning. Caldwell came to his rescue, however, and retrieved the game for Princeton.

The Orange and Blue record for the season follows: Princeton  5  Villa Nova  4 Princeton  8  Swarthmore  2 Princeton  5  Lafayette  1 Princeton  2  Vermont  0 Princeton  7  Columbia  4 Princeton  5  Brown  1 Princeton  23  Haverford  4 Princeton  6  Cornell  3 Princeton  8  Williams  0 Princeton  7  Georgia  2 Princeton  13  Lawrenceville  2 Princeton  2  Holy Cross  3   (14 innings) Princeton  7  Amherst  0 Princeton  4  Dartmouth  0 Total  103  Opponents  25
