CRIMSON CHESS TEAM HOPES TO CHECKMATE ELI TONIGHT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With prospects bright for a Crimson victory, the University chess team meets Yale tonight at the Liberal Club.

Last year Harvard's representatives at the ancient game outgeneralled the Blue and triumphed by a score of 7 1/2 to 2 1/2. Six of the men whose work with the rooks and queens brought victory to Harvard last year will be bent over the boards tonight, and the team is confident of winning an easy victory.

Adrien Gambet 1 T.S., captain of the University ten, is facing Yale for the fifth consecutive year. Edward Wallach '27 has taken part in two victories over the Eli experts. Tonight's match will be held on ten boards simultaneously, and preceded by a dinner given to the visiting chessmen at the Liberal Club.
