CHARLES RIVER FOOTBRIDGE BILL PASSES LOWER HOUSE

Little Opposition Expected in Senate When Vote Is Taken

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The bill sanetioning the proposed footbridge across the Charles River passed the last visible barrier yesterday when after the third reading the state house of representatives ordered it engrossed.

The legislature closes Thursday and all rules have been suspended. As a result of the suspension of rules the Senate is expected to put the bill through in record time. Three readings and an approval by the Senate will send the bill to the governor. No more opposition is expected for it was only in the house that any murmur of disapproval arose.
