DEBATING TEAM TRIALS WILL BEHEAD TONIGHT

Trials for the debating team which will represent Harvard on October 28 against an aggregation from various English universities will be held this evening in Harvard 6 at 7.30 o'clock, according to an announcement made yesterday by A. f. Reel '28, president of the University Debating Council.

All undergraduates in good standing are eligible for the team, which will uphold the affirmative of the question: "Resolved, That the fetish of efficiency is a deplorable feature of modern life."

Candidates may prepare five minutes speeches for tonight on either the affirmative or the negative side of the question. Following the speeches tonight Professor F. C. Packard '20 and E. M. Rowe '27, the coaches will make the first cut. Three speakers and one or more alternatives will be chosen for the encounter with the English team.
