UNIVERSITY AND M. I. T. IN SOCCER DEADLOCK, 1-1

Carr and Stollmeyer Bright Spots in Listless Game--Yale Contest Will Engage Crimson on Saturday

Playing its last game before the final cash with the Yale booters on Saturday morning, the University soccer team yesterday battled to a 1 to 1 deadlock with M. I. T. on the Technology field in a slow game in which the work of Captain J. F. Carr Jr. '28 and A. M. Stollmeyer '30 proved a redeeming feature.

The University got away to a lead in the first period when Louis Kerness '29 slipped the ball past the M. I. T. goal keeper for the Crimson's sole score. During the second period the work of the backs lacked coordination, but the M. I. T. booters likewise failed to force the play, and the period remained scoreless.

On Saturday morning at 10 o'clock the University team will meet on the Soldiers Field soccer field a strong Yale aggregation composed almost entirely of veteran players. Tickets to the football game will also admit to the soccer game.
