Class and dormitory baseball will get under way today when candidates will meet in the Soldiers Field Locker Building at 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Four coaches have been secured to handle the three upper class squads and Freshman dormitory teams. M. A. Cheek '26 will be in charge of the class league and will serve as coach for the Senior team, J. E. Knowlton, Jr. '26, and R. H. Field '26 will coach the junior and Sophomore nines. A. W. Samborski '26, who directed dormitory football last fall, will hold a similar position in the dormitory baseball league.

The coaches will organize the teams, supervise the election of captains, and instruct the players. Once underway however, the class leagues will be run as much as possible by the players themselves.

The championship team of the dormitory league will play in the class league. Besides the regular league series, there will probably be occasional games with outside teams. The team winning the class championship will meet a Yale class nine.

Official practice for the Freshman dormitory nines will not begin until Coach Davidson, of the 1930 first team, cuts his squad. Until then, however, informal workonts will be in order.

Three new diamonds have been prepared in various corners of Soldier's Field to accomodate the teams of the two leagues. Some equipment, probably balls, bats, and gloves, will be given out by the H. A. A. in the Locker Building this afternoon.
