BOSTON WILL GIVE OFFICIAL WELCOME TO CADET VISITORS

Governor Fuller, Mayor Nichols, and Mayor Quinn Will Review-Special Subways to Transport Troops

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Elaborate plans have just been concluded for the Boston reception of the West Point cadets upon their arrival Saturday morning, October 20, it was announced yesterday.

The city has not had such a contingent of cadet visitors for several years, and a fitting celebration is planned to welcome them.

Cadets Detrain Saturday

The cadets are to detrain at the South Station Saturday morning. From there they will fall in and march directly to the Boston Common. Fourteen companies are to parade and it is expected that a considerable audience of Boston people will line the route to view America's best trained troops.

At the Boston Common an honorary committee composed of Governor Fuller of Massachusetts, Mayor Nichols of Boston, and Mayor Quinn of Cambridge will review the troops, Governor Fuller will be escorted by the first corps cadets of which he is honorary Colonel.

Will March to Park Street

After the review on the Common the West Pointers will march directly to the Park Street subway station where two special cars will be kept reserved in waiting to take them to Cambridge. The cars will not stop at the regular Harvard subway station, but will continue through to the Stadium station where the cadets will again form their marching column.

The plans for the Harvard reception of the visitors have not been released as yet, but it is known that they will march to the Yard and through to the Harvard Union lunch.
