HARVARD ICE TEAM OVERWHELMS WEAK NICHOLS CLUB SIX

Gidden, Holbrook and Howard Divide Scoring Honors--Former Accounts for Three Tallies

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On Saturday the University sextet journeyed to Buffalo and there administered an overwhelming defeat to the weak Nichols Club team by a 12-2 score. The contest was played on a very small rink and was marred by rough play on both sides. At no time were the New Yorkers a match for their smoother and faster opponents. The Crimson forward line took the disc up the ice time and again in a beautiful exhibition of coordination and team work. Both forward lines were used and proved equally efficient in driving the puck home. The work of the Crimson defense men was of a similar high grade, the Nichols forwards breaking through for a shot only occasionally.

Scoring honors were divided very evenly among the Harvard players, Giddens counting three and Holbrook, and Howard two goals apiece.

The summary follows: HARVARD  NICHOLS CLUB Giddens, Lakin, r.w.  l.w., Walsh, Gowans Chase, Holbrook, c.  c., Cass, Rogers Tudor, Wetmore, l.w.  r.w., Rogers, Wattles, Comstock Howard, A.
