Announcement of the plans of the Student Employment office for applicants for summer positions was made last night by W. W. Daly '14, secretary for student employment.
At the present time summer jobs are coming into the office every day, and in each case the prospective employers are looking to secure men in the near future who can start work any time from the middle of June to the first of July. Accordingly, it is imperative that all men who are looking for summer work should register immediately.
Positions are now open in several different industrial fields, in summer camps, and in different types of sales and commercial work. There are a few calls also for tutors or companions, for men to handle water sports, sailing, swimming and the like.
With business conditions as they are at present, it is doubtful whether the office will be able to place all men who come to it for summer work. This will be particularly true in the case of men who put off registering until late in May or June. For this reason, the office urges all men desiring such jobs to register on or before March 15, and then keep in close touch with it, if they wish to secure desirable positions. These registrations may be effected at any time between 9 and 5 o'clock daily.
