The Freshman baseball team opens its season this afternoon when its meets the aggregation of St. John's Preparatory School on Soldiers Field.

Although the Crimson team has not been given an opportunity to show its power in an actual game, it has shown up well in practice and is developing considerable offensive strength according to Coach Davison.

Reginald Fincke '32, and Charles Devens '32, who composed the star battery of the Groton School nine last year, will be the probable starting battery for the Freshmen.

The visitors are more or less an unknown quantity, but St. John's baseball team are traditionally well-coached, hard-hitting aggregations, from which much trouble may be expected. Lest year's Freshman outfit succeeded in overhauling an early disadvantage to conquer the schoolboys by a 9 to 3 count.
