HARVARD OUTPLAYS MIDSHIPMEN AFTER INTERMISSION

Playing one of the hardest games of the season Saturday afternoon on the field behind the Business School, the University soccer team nosed out the Navy, in two extra periods, avenging last year's defeat under similar circumstances.

Navy opened the scoring five minutes after the start of play, when Captain Williamson passed the ball to Gurnette, who in turn tallied. During the whole of the first half, the Navy outplayed Harvard, keeping the ball away from its goal the greater part of the time. In the second half, however, the Crimson recovered, and a minute before the end of the game, Captain J. R. Bland '31, T. F. Waters '33 and D. M. Frame '32 made the tieing goal. Harvard forced play during the two extra periods, and missed numerous shots until H. H. Broadbent '32 finally tallied. In the opening period, E. J. Des Roches '31 was injured in the head, and three stitches had to be taken to close the wound.
