ROBERT HAYDON JONES '30 IS AUTHOR OF 1930 CLASS HYMN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

That the hymn submitted by Robert Haydon Jones '30, of Kew Gardens, Long Island, has been selected as the Class Hymn to be sung on Baccalaureato Sunday by the Seniors, was announced last evening by the committee in charge.

Jones' hymn is written to the tune, "Rock of Ages", and is entitled "Ave atque Vale". Honorable mention in the competition went to Donald Robertson '30, H. M. Parker '30, and to C. S. House '30, whose poetry was of a very high standard.

The winning hymn will be sung by the Class on June 15, at the chapel, services which are to be conducted by Dean Willard Learoyd Sperry of the Theological School.
