CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS REPORT THIS AFTERNOON

ALL WHO RAN AGAINST YALE IN 1929 BACK THIS FALL

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first meeting of Harvard's University and Freshman cross country teams will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Old Locker Building, when all candidates are requested to report to Coach Jaakko Mikkola and E. C. Haggerty '27.

Prospects for a successful University season are exceptionally good, with none of the members of the team which last year won from Yale, 19 to 52, having graduated. Besides Captain R. C. Aldrich '31, other veterans who raced against Yale are N. P. Hallowell '32, who placed first, J. M. Fox '32, G. N. Barrie '32, Sturtevant Burr '31, J. W. Fobes '32, R. G. Hodges '31, and E. T. Floathe '32. Prospective Sophomore harriers include R. P. Wesley '33, F. D. Murphy '33, Arthur Foote '33, who captained his Freshman to a perfect score against the Blue, and N. P. Dedge '33. The team will this year be trying for its seventh consecutive victory against Yale; the last six Freshman teams have also been victorious.

M.I.T. Added to Schedule

The two cross country teams will face almost the same schedule as in 1929, except that Massachusetts Institute of Technology will also run in the Dartmouth races, both University and Freshman. Following are the two schedules: University: Friday, October 3, Holy Cross: Friday, October 10, New Hampshire: Friday, October 24, Dartmouth and M.I.T.: Friday, October 31. Yale at New Haven: Friday, November 7, University Handicap: Monday, November 17, Intercollegiates at New York. Freshman: Friday, October 10. New Hampshire and Holy Cross: Friday, October 24, Dartmouth and Massachusetts Institute of Technology: Friday, October 31. Yale at New Haven: Friday, November 7, University Handicap. The Intercollegiates, in which the Harvard runners placed eighth, and Hallowell individually fifteenth, will be held one week earlier than in 1929.
