OVERSEERS NAME PERKINS PRESIDENT FOR 1930-1931

Albert Thompson Perkins '87, of St. Louis, Missouri, is the newly elected President of the Board of Overseers of Harvard College. His election at the first fall meeting of the Board was announced yesterday at University Hall. His term of office expires in June, 1931.

Mr. Perkins has served as executive officer, engineer, or president of various railways, and as adviser on terminal matters to many cities. During the war he was manager and director of Light Combat Railways for the A. E. F. He is now a Colonel in the Officers Reserve Corps, commanding the 327th Combat Engineers. He has been decorated by the United States with the D.S.M., and by Great Britain with the order of St. Michael and St. George.
