One of the most perfect skeletons of a mesohippus, or three-toed horse, over found is now on exhibition at the Museum of Comparative Zoology for the first time.

The skeleton, almost complete, was collected in 1928 in the Big White River Badlands, Washington County, South Dakota. It was found in the upper concretionary formation which lies in the upper middle Oreodon zone and has a sufficient number of peculiar characteristics to be deserving of a new specific name.
