CANCEL ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATED CLUBS

HOST WAS TO BE HARVARD CLUB OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At the regular fall meeting of the Associated Harvard Clubs, held in Cambridge recently, it was decided to cancel the plans for the annual meeting in July which was to take place at Los Angeles, California. The resolution not to hold their meeting next year was passed by the executive committee of the joint Clubs, since it was felt that it would be unwise to stage the reunion next summer under the present business conditions. The Harvard Club of Southern California, which was to be host to the delegates of every Harvard Club in the nation, has acquiesced to the decision of the committee. The resolution was drawn up as follows:

Whereous in the opinion of members of the executive committee and other Harvard men who have been consulted, general conditions make it inadvisable to hold a meeting of the Associated Harvard Clubs in 1932 with the expectation of having a fairly representative attendance, therefore.

Be it resolved that the executive committee of the Associated Harvard Clubs, meeting in Cambridge on November 20. 1931, recommends to the Harvard Club of Southern California that no general meeting of the Associated Harvard Clubs be held in the year 1932, and,

Further resolved that the executive committee hereby expresses to the Harvard Club of Southern California, in behalf of all Harvard Clubs, its profound regret for the necessity of this recommendation and its appreciation of the hospitality offered by the Harvard Club of Southern California and its efforts so far made in preparation for this meeting
