The decision of the Phillips Brooks House Cabinet to aid the social service enterprises of Sir Wilfred Grenfell among the peoples of Labrador is commendable. It is a move thoroughly in keeping with the present trend of policy accepted by the organization.

Recent years have seen the Phillips Brooks House Association found its policy of social service on the bases of practicability; not on idealism and its concomitant ineffectiveness. Within a short period the work of the Association has been extended to include the establishment and maintenance of medical and dental clinics as well as reception of foreign students, support of settlement houses, and relief to the needy.

The new step is one which offers opportunity for important expansion and coordination of the work of the various committees of Brooks House and at the same time furthers a worthy endeavor.
