Two of Harvard's three entries in the championships of the Eastern Intercollegiate Swimming Association qualified in the preliminaries held yesterday afternoon and evening in the Navy pool. Fallen tied two other contestants for first place in the preliminaries, all three breaking the existing intercollegiate record.
