FLYING CLUB OFFERS LOWER RATE FOR USE OF WACO PLANE

Attempt to Weather Depression Favors Club Members

In an effort to keep its plane working as much as possible during the winter months, the Flying Club has made arrangements so that both instruction and solo flying are offered at less than one half the commercial rates. As far as the club has been able to determine, their new rates are the lowest ever offered in this country. Members are entitled to use the club's Waco F plane at $6 an hour by promising to fly at least three hours each month. Instruction with the Flying Club pilot is $10 an hour.

Although no fist rate is offered, under this plan the average person can procure a private pilot's license for approximately $125. This entitles him to fly any type of airplane, but due to the recent law passed by the Massachusetts Legislature, he cannot give instruction to anyone nor can he fly for hire. This price again is about half the usual cost.
