Although anticipating no serious opposition, the Varsity baseball team will send its full strength onto the field this afternoon at 4 o'clock to face the Amherst Varsity nine, in the fifth Crimson encounter of the season. If the game this afternoon proves successful for the Crimson. Harvard will oppose its principal Eastern Intercollegiate League rival, Columbia, next Saturday, with a full slate of victories.
The starting Crimson twirler this afternoon will be either McJennett or Tobe, as Loughlin is scheduled to start against Columbia Saturday. The remainder of the starting line-up will be composed of regular first-staring players.
Tomorrow's encounter will be the second of the season for the visiting team. In its opening game, last Saturday, Amherst lost to Clark University, 2-1.
