To the Editor of the CRIMSON:

It is unfortunate that the petition addressed to Mr. Bingham for the reinstatement of Mr. Bingham for the reinstatement of Mr. Edward A. Wachter was not more widely circulated. There are few men on the coaching staff so well liked as "Ed." Many of my friends have expressed the desire to sign the petition, but have had no opportunity.

I should like to say that the suggestion in your editorial, "If his retention merely in the capacity of sculling coach is not an agreeable arrangement, then a genuine effort should be made to find some position in the athletic department supplementary to the sculling," seems wise, far-sighted, and fair. Horace G. Reisner, Jr. '33.
