CASEY TO CHOOSE BATES LINEUP THIS AFTERNOON

FRANK CASALE TOPS BOBBY LITTLE FOR CENTER POSITION

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Using Friday's scrimmage as a measuring rod Coach Eddie Casey has begun to draw up a definite Varsity lineup for the first time this year. At practice this afternoon he will put together the team that will start the Bated game this Saturday, with the exception of one or two positions that are subject to change without notice.

As ends Casey will have Shaun Kelly and Garrow Geer, with Bob Knapp and Emile Dubiel as second stringers. Kelly is a veteran of the 1932 Freshmen and saw service in several games last year, although injuries kept him on the bench during a good part of the season. With Geer, a Sophomore, as Kelly's partner the ends of the line will be very well taken care of.

At the tackle positions Henry Adlis Seems a sure bet for the right side, but Ed Simmons is only a jump ahead of Bill Lane for the parallel job on the left. Lane has improved a great deal in the last few days and is now rated as at least second string. For guards, Franks Littlefield will be Captain Herman Gund- lach's understudy, with Bob Brookings a grasshopper's length ahead of Fran Schumann for the opposite side of the line. Gundy, incidentally, will be ready for contact work today or tomorrow.

Frank Casale has the call over Bobby Little for center, with Danny Comfort ranked third. In the backfield Bob Haley is No. 1 quarterback and has George Ford and George Hedblom as understudies. Leo Ecker is the ranking fullback; Bob Watt and Fred Moseley the right and left halves respectively. Mac McTernan, Henry Fuller, and Bill Parquette are the second stringers for Watt and Moseley
