Skiers Hold First Meeting To Study Plans for Season

Carter Speaks to Team Candidates in Lowell Common Room

Addressing a group of about 75 skiing enthusiasts in the Lowell House Common Room Monday evening, H. Adams Carter '36, captain of the varsity skiers, talked about plans for a season scheduled to open with the University race and time trials on Sunday, January 6.

Enough Sophomores and Freshmen have reported to make possible the formation of a new third class team in addition to the regular second class Varsity organization.

After Carter had spoken, Coach Charley Proctor discussed equipment, training, and the general form of the races which include participation in the Dartmouth Carnival on February 8 and 9, the Eastern Championship on March 10, and a meet with Dartmouth on March 24.
