Members of Kirkland House To Hold Fall Dance Tonight

Ruby "Deb's Delight" Newman and Band to Play in Common Room

Under a canopy of vari-colored streamers covering the ceiling of the ceiling of the Common Room, members of Kirkland House and their guests will dance tonight to the lilting strains of Ruby Newman and his orchestra.

From 9 until 2 o'clock, there will be dancing in the Common Room and in the Dining Hall, where an amplifying system will be installed to furnish the music in undiminished vigor for those who care to dance there.

Ruby, Darling of the Debs, brings his first-string band and a female vocalist to cater to the demands of the members of the Kirkland House. A midnight supper will be served and tickets are priced at $3 per couple and $2 stag if purchased before the dance but the price of the couple ticket will be increased to $3.50 if bought at the door.

Roy W. Winsauer '36 heads a committee composed of John E. Barnes 4G, Shaun Kelly, Jr. '36, Douglas C. Scott '35 and Robert E. Simon, Jr. '35.

Ushers for the event are John E. Barnet 4G, Alfred C. Butterfield '37, Shaun Kelly, Jr. '36, Branford P. Millar '35, Benjamin C. Riggs '37, Douglas C. Scott '35, Robert E. Simon, Jr. '35, Wyndham M. Southgate '31, assistant in History, and Roy W. Winsauer '36.
