To the Editor of the CRIMSON:
Within the past few days a most unfortunate and distressing occurrence has taken place in the College which unquestionably will have undesirable repercussions upon its students.
An inquisitive organization has sent out to all members of the undergraduate body a questionnaire which in its thoroughness of enquiry, scope of imagination, and absence of tact has hitherto been equalled only by the advertisements of soaps and mouth-washes. This questionnaire represents perhaps the zenith of the Psychologist's bad taste and offers yet another example of the folly of Science when she strays too far from her crucibles and astralobes.
It is not necessary to describe the disconcerting effects which this questionnaire will have upon those who receive it, for these can only too easily be imagined. Although it is impossible to undo the damage which these lurid broadsheets have already produced, it is strongly to be hoped that authority will make regulations which prevent literature of this type from ever being distributed again.
