William B. Schallek Is Badly Hurt by Fall From Matthews

Suffering from undetermined injuries as a result of a fall down the ventilating shaft of Matthews Hall, William B. Schallek '39 was in a serious condition at Cambridge Hospital last evening.

Schallek, whose home is in New York City, roomed in Number 47 on the third floor of the Yard dormitory. He was in a coma practically all of yesterday, only regaining consciousness for brief moments, according to medical officials.
