HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Led by David M. Bright '22, the Harvard skiing team defeated Dartmouth yesterday with a time advantage of 35 seconds. The race, which is an annual affair, is run over a slalom course at Tuckerman's ravine.
The times of the first fifteen men on each team were added together, Harvard having a total of 1298 seconds, and Dartmouth 1334 seconds. Bright's time was 38 seconds in the first race, and 31 seconds in the second race.
The first ten men to finish were as follows: Bright, Albert F. Sise '28, Herbert S. Sise '34, Mezerzey (D), Durgin (D); Edward P. Davis, Jr. 1G, Chandler (D), Charles T. Lawrence 1Dn., Chamberlin (D), and David Emerson '38.
The other men to finish among the first fifteen were: Charles S. Rogers '37, William F. Loomis '36, R. Colin Maclaurin '38, Samuel Wakeman, Frederick S. Bigelow '38, William C. Quinby, Jr. '36, and Harold T. White '37.
