MAJOR ARTHUR R. HARRIS WILL REPLACE HIM

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Colonel Oliver L. Spaulding, Jr., who has been head of the Harvard R.O.T.C. Unit since 1931, will discontinue his present duties at the close of the current term to become Chief of the Historical Section of the War College in Washington.

As Chief of the Historical Section his duties will consist of supervising the classification of military documents for publication purposes at a later date, and making them currently available for historical study. The colonel plans to do some historical writing, and has written several books of military interest, the chief one of which is "Warfare, A Study of Military Methods from the Earliest Times," on which he collaborated with two other writers.

Replacing Colonel Spaulding is Arthur R. Harris, Major, Field Artillery, a graduate of West Point in 1914, present military Attachez of the American Legation in San Jose, Costa Rica; Guatamala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and San Salvador.
