Entries for the annual University Tennis Tournament will close Friday, September 27, it was announced yesterday by Coach Harry Cowles. The deadline is 5 o'clock.

The tournament, which begins Monday, September 30, will be composed of four classes, Class A and Class B singles, Doubles, and Freshman matches. All members of the University are eligible to enter the Class A, Class B, and Doubles while the first year men have their own tournament.

The A tournament is generally selected by members of the squad and other advanced players while the B contests are chosen by players of less skill. The choice, however, remains with the entrant.

Last year there were 110 entrants in Class A, 85 in Class B, 78 in the Doubles, and 126 in the Freshman division. Many entries have already been received with the Freshmen topping the list with 73 men, while the others have about 25 entries thus far.
