MIDDLEBURY DEBATERS MEET HARVARD ON AIR

Harvard Will Take Affirmative Side On Advisability of Extension of Consumers Cooperatives

Harvard will uphold the affirmative in a radio debate tomorrow with Middlebury College on the question "Resolved: that the extension of consumers' cooperatives would contribute to the public welfare." The debate will be broadcast over WAAB at 1:30 o'clock.

The Harvard debaters are Howard Cohrman '38, F. Welch Peel '39, and John A. Sullivan '38. Peel will deliver the rebuttal.

The Vermonters who are talking on the negative side are Ralph W. Pickard '37, Glenn L. Leggett '40, and John F. Barrow '37. Pickard is editor of his college paper.

The visiting debating team will have lunch in Lowell House at noon and will then go to the station. The time allotted for the debate is one hour with ten minutes apiece for the main speakers and five for the rebuttals.
