Ebenezer Francis Bowditch '35, of Concord, has been appointed an assistant dean of the College and will take office in September. He will have charge of a part of the Freshman Class, replacing Elting E. Morison '32, assistant dean.

Bowditch, at present an instructor in English and Latin at Milton Academy, graduated two years ago as Second Marshal of his Class. He was president of the Student Council. He is a brother of John B. Bowditch '37, now president of the Student Council, and Second Marshal of the graduating Class.

As an undergraduate, the new dean, an alumnus of Milton, was Freshman Class president, secretary-treasurer of Phillips Brooks House, and a member of the Varsity track and cross country teams.

Dean Morison gives up his duties in University Hall to devote full time to the completion of his graduate studies.

Also, the CRIMSON learned yesterday that Geoffrey W. Lewis '32 will continue as assistant dean in charge of records and of Juniors and Seniors; William H. Cary, Jr. '21 has been renamed to take charge of Sophomores and dropped Freshmen, while Henry Chauncey '28 continues as dean of Freshman scholarships and a part of the Freshman Class.
