EDWIN MIMS SAYS TWO PARTY SYSTEM RESTS ON NEW G.O.P.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"The future of our two-party system depends on what the new G.O.P. decides to do," declared Edwin Mims, Jr. Instructor in Government, in a Guardian-sponsored broadcast last night.

Claiming that November 8 may have been a red-letter day for the two-party system, Mims chided the New Deal for "vague generalization" and stated, "If they clarify Liberalism, the Republicans have a chance to continue the two-party system; otherwise a third party is inevitable."

Mims was "particularly encouraged" by the widespread political interest shown in the last election by "every Tom, Dick, and Harry . . . rich man, poor man, beggar man. . ."
