Walsh Warns Against Party Bias in Harvard Congress
Encourages Organization as a Means Of Teaching Current Events
March 15, 1938
Senator David I. Walsh of Massachusetts endorsed the recently formed Harvard Congress in a letter yesterday saying "this Congress should be of great assistance in disseminating information about public affairs" and a "means of arousing interest in social, political, and economic problems."
His only advice was that the group "proceed as impartially as possible and adhere to discussion of principles, as free from personal or political bias or partisanship as possible."
