Green Papooses Romp 23-14 Over Yardling Football Team

Indians' Star., Kast, Responsible For Two Dartmouth Touchdowns as He Heaves Passes

An erstwhile successful Yardling football aggregation as ever powered by a Dartmouth papoose team, 23 to 12, in a game played in the Hanover hills Saturday. McNicol, ace Freshman back, led the Crimson attack which threatened the Green Team in the second half.

The Sthleymen failed to get under way with their usual scoring power until the second half. Meanwhile the Indians had put over two scores and registered the conversions. The last Dartmouth touchdown was registered in the third period, the point after missing fire, and finally a field goal was added in the final period of the game.

Crimson Scores

In answer to the artillery fire from Indian Kast, who was on the passing end of two touchdowns, the Crimson finally clicked in the third period as Whittier carried the mail on the first tally. Soon after McNicol fired a pass to Loring to chalk up another score.

Wholfe and Conn were on the receiving end of the two Dartmouth touchdown passes, while Weirman plunged over for the other touchdown. The additional three points were scored by Koslowski in the final period when he booted the ball squarely between the uprights.

McNicol and Forts

The standouts for the Crimson team were McNicol and Forte, both of whom turned in sterling performances on the Hanover gridiron.

The Yardlings have turned in a creditable performance so far this season, with two decisive victories over Andover and Worcester, although they did lose two fairly close games to Exeter and the Green Cubs.

The Green yearlings were rated heavy favorites over Coach Stahley's eleven in pre-game predictions by virtue of their undefeated record. They had already handed out decisive defeats to the Holy Cross and Boston College first-year men, and the opposition offered by the Crimson cubs was stiffer than expected.
