A Student Council committee will investigate the possibilities of setting up reciprocal Pan-American scholarships for students at Harvard and Latin universities, Langdon P. Marvin, Jr. '41, Council president, announced last night.
Headed by Joseph P. Lyford '41, the committee includes Harry Hornblower '41 and Harrison T. Blaine '42.
Two years ago an undergraduate committee was formed to raise money for such scholarships, but disappeared when its guiding lights, Ralph H. Cutler '40 and John L. Donnell '40, graduated last June. The Council group will take up where the Cutler-Donnell left off.
Marvin also announced the appointment of a committee to study the parietal rules with a view to recommending possible changes. The committee consists of Eugene D. Keith '42, chairman, Benjamin A. Barnes '41, John C. Robbins Jr. '42, and Homer D. Peabody Jr. '41.
