An underrated Freshman basketball team blasted its way to victory over the Eli five Saturday afternoon by a score of 47 to 29.

The Yardling Stahleymen, who have dropped eight games and won seven, vindicated themselves by crushing Yale in the Payne Whitney gym. At the beginning of the game the two teams were playing a nip and tuck contest, but when "Skip" Stahley's plays began to click, the Crimson team forged ahead to end the half-time at 30 to 17.

After the half the Yardlings lost their timing and again the game was in a fine balance, but Stahley's training showed through, enabling the Crimson to finish with an eight point lead.

Captain Charlie Royer was highscorer for the evening with 14 tallies to his credit. Close on his heels was Bob Dobbyn with 10 points, Scully and Hall split third honors with eight counters, in a game in which Harvard and Yale were sharing equal odds in pregame wagering.
