Smith, Radcliffe Hockeyites Whitewashed by Crimson

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Although bothered by inclement weather and lack of practice, the Crimson field hockey team chalked up its first win of the season at Belmont yesterday as it rolled over an all-star aggregation of stick-wielders from Smith and Radcliffe to the tune of 3 to 0.

After battling on even terms for most of the game, the Crimson cohorts broke the scoring ice when Bob Townsend poked a loose ball neatly between the uprights after intercepting a faux-pass from Miss Nancy Jackson of Cambridge.

The Harvard team, taking advantage of the impending darkness and poor visibility, found the mark twice again before the final whistle as Miss Peg Galishaw of Cambridge, the all star goalie, was mouse-trapped both times on semi-illegal plays.
