Congratulating themselves on their ability to rout Harvard men out of their beds at six in the morning, the War Service Committee announced last night that over 100 men had volunteered to go "apple-picking for victory" on Columbus Day. 80 Radcliffe girls will also do their bit to relieve the agricultural labor shortage.
The John Rice orchards of Marlboro will supply the apples and necessary tools. If the trip is a success another may be held soon.
If pickers are able to ignore the distractions around them they should be able to earn as much as four dollars.
