Perkins Urges Students to Keep Cool on Draft Issue

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No definite advice except to stay in college and remain calm can be given to undergraduates between the ages of 17 and 20 until Congress decides the terms of the new draft law, Elliot Perkins '23, director of the War Service Information Bureau, stated yesterday.

"Not even Roosevelt or Hershy themselves could settled any problems for these men just now," he added. Only Congress can determine the fate of 18 and 19-year-olds, so for the time being their status will have to remain vague. As soon as the new bill begins to take shape, however, Perkins expects to be able to release information which will clarify the student position.
