French Drafted for Nazi Labor

ON THE FRENCH FRONTIER--Official letters announcing that "You have been designated to work in Germany" have been sent of several hundred thousand unmarried male workers in both occupied and unoccupied France, it was learned today.

Reports from France said the mobilization of labor for the German war factories is progressing swiftly and smoothly in an effort to fulfill a verbal promise by Chief of Government Pierre Laval to deliver to Germany 150,000 specialists by Oct. 15. in exchange for 50,000 French war prisoners held by the Reich.
