DEACONS BOW TO B.C. ELEVEN

House Squad Suffers 19-0 Defeat in Intramural Game

A team of Boston College seniors got revenge for the defeat that one of their intramural elevens suffered at the hands of Winthrop's football team two weeks ago, by soundly trouncing Kirkland 19-0 on Soldiers Field yesterday.

Long passes of around 20 yards set up the first B.C. touchdown and scored the second, while the third was scored on a dash off left tackle when a mass of B.C. blockers put the Deacon defenders out of action.

Kirkland's only good gains came on passes, two of them by George Albion and one by Gene Sands. Manny Holman caught one, while end Burt Lewkowitz snared two tosses, one of which was good for 40 yards.

The B.C. team was in control almost the whole game. Kirkland was handicapped by lack of substitutes and they were pretty well battered up at the end of the game. Only ten Deacons showed up for the game, and they were forced to impress an Adams man to make the required eleven.
